Ascend to the Sanctuary of Monserrate, a temple built on top of one of the mountains surrounding the city is the opportunity to have one of the best panoramic views of the city. The museum-house "Quinta de Bolívar", which houses artifacts and documents the life of Simon Bolivar in the middle of a lush garden with trees which tradition dating from the time of Libertador evoke the recent past. In the Gold Museum, more than 32,000 gold pieces are testimony to the complexity, strength, magic power and cultural consistency of societies that inhabited the country.
